Still quite new at Upwork, suggestions on how to land a job?

Hello Everyone, My name is Ernesto and even though I have landed a few jobs, I still have a problem landing jobs, I keep applying to projects but people don't get in touch with me, what should I write to them to make them see I am the right freelancer to work with? 

can anyone check out my profile and let me know the parts that need fixing/improving? 

does the 90% success score has anything to do with it? do the filters of 90% success score and rising talent have a lot of influence when it comes to reading your proposal?

Here are some of the pointers that we recommend as part of any successful application process:

-Apply only to those job postings for which you are truly qualified and feel confident you can complete successfully.

-Submit a cover letter customized to address the specific requests and needs of the job posting.

-Submit an accurate application reflecting your understanding of the scope of the contract and the amount.

-Request clarifications of scope, deliverables and due dates from clients, as needed.

-Update the application's requested pay rate to reflect any changes prior to being hired.

-Inform the client of your availability and normal working hours, expected response times to communications and any planned or potential vacations, holidays or other known work outages.

-Respond promptly and professionally to messages from the client.

Also, a great profile shows potential clients your value as a freelancer. You want to encourage clients to invite you to apply to their job postings. This is your first chance to make an unforgettable first impression. Put some time and effort into creating a profile that separates you from the crowd!

Ernesto - I took a quick look at your profile.  When a client initially sees your proposal or your profile, they only see the first two or three lines.  Don't waste that by introducing yourself and for goodness sake, don't tell your age.  No client cares.

I would re-arrange your profile.  Put all the language information at the bottom as it isn't really important for what you do.  Emphasize your experience and your areas of expertise in graphic design.  Maybe take a few more tests, but hide any results that are below average.

Are you part of an agency, Ernesto? You mention "we" ... but I don't see an agency name on your profile. Of course, I'm not sure, but I thought if you were in an agency that showed on a person's profile.

There are really only a few ways to reply to someone once you've been caught.

1) pretend you have no idea what they are talking about

2) rage face and get personal

3) change it and deny it was ever there

I wanted to reply I just havent had the time to reply I was taking care of my 4 year old nephew, he takes a lot of my time. I had forgotten I had that on my profile I am updating it now.

if there is one thing the jss seems to filter out is the farmers. They farm out to the lowest bidder, they return junk, and their jss takes a nosedive.
