Strategies to receive steady income on Upwork and to beat the competition

I would like to know how I can receive a steady income on Upwork and to also beat the competition. There must be something that I am doing wrong.

Well, for one thing, your profile is not public. How is anyone supposed to find you?

For another thing, it's worth remembering that we--the community made up of your fellow FLs--are the competition. You might want to consider a mental framework wherein your success doesn't require somebody else's failure.

It's always a bit surprising when someone thinks I'm going to tell them how I get work and make my clients happy.  And by the way, OP - "steady income" is somewhat of an oxymoron in the freelancing world.
