Sudden Increase of profile view

In the past few days, my profile on Upwork is getting views but honestly, I don't know the meaning, can someone explain where this is coming from and its implications, and how it works in my favor?

I believe you may not worry much about that. You have full right to assume that you are getting famous on the platform. However if you are trying to look this as tangile benefit and it is not reflecting in your account than this may not be correct comparison. 

You should take this as intangible benefit and ensure that you have all the details / project / credential available in your profile for people to view. There are fair chances that you can convert the views into opportunity. Good Luck!!
