Yesterday i receive rising talent badge. But today it went back to a top
rated badge. My badge before I received the rising talent was top rated. It
was just a 1 day rising talent badge. Should i receive free connects for
that? Or that was just a bug?

Thanks!

Okay - I'm giving up now! My JSS was calculated on Sunday, Jan 6 and was 95%. It's now recalculated on Thursday, Jan 10  and is 93%. My stats are also out of sync from what they were.

I assume UW will sort this out?? It's been something else every day since the great news that UW talent specialists also decide on what proposals do and don't get viewed by clients.

I  have two questions for UW moderators:
- did UW change JSS algorithm?
-  will JSS now be updated daily? (that seems weird - I'm not an expert, but I'm assuming it's resource heavy...)

Many people here see their JSS going up and down on a daily basis - and they claim the numbers are far from correct...

Since so many people's JSS are dropping by a ton of points, I suggest we go back to the disappearing JSS phase. Can we do that? At least then people won't be losing clients who now think they are underqualified.  Seems like a good strategy while you take the time to figure this out. Or, is there any way you can switch it so it adds a bunch of points to our scores instead?  That would be even better. In that case, you can take all the time you need, and more. Thanks. Yes this is one thing that happened to me: I lost a client who thought I was "Dropping"

He really did ask me, and I relayed this to Customer Support, "Why Did Your Rating Go Down?"

Then shortly later he ended the contract, not even kidding.

Do we have a rough idea what percentage of freelancers are affected?

Mine is back to normal.

Hi All,

I'd like to provide an update about the issue with the Job Success Score. Due to a system issue we recently had, we have to reprocess the bi-weekly Job Success Score following the incident on January 10th, 2019.

The new score that you are seeing now in your profile and My Stats page is an update of the score that was previously calculated on January 6th. It reflects your stats as of January 10th.

The next calculation of the score will happen on January 20th.

Thank you for your patience.

But that can't be possible when Upwork Customer Service tell me the following:

Your Job Success Score calculated over 2 years is 94%, over 1 year is 96%, over 6 months is 92% and more recent is 94

Therefore shouldn't I have my highest score which is 96% ???? This is impossible I've just confirmed this again right now with customer support therefore the JSS is completely wrong even with this new calculation

In the new calculation I should have a 96 as I've just confirmed now with CS

It can't be as it was 96% before that latest feedback.

I can't think of any reason for mine being right either... weeks ago it was
100, then it went down to 99 not long ago. Since then, I got new clients
and great reviews yet it's showing 98 now. It is a constant frustration not
knowing why; not only frustration but disappointment when you work like a
maniac trying to deliver quality, getting good reviews, and still seeing
your JSS go down.
