Suggestion: Customize location on profile.

I do not like that the city I live in is visible on my profile. I like to be very cautious with personal information on the internet, and this can be a security issue for some people. I think we should be able to customize what is visible, perhaps give us the option to show either just the state we live in, or the city and state, or even the state and nearest major city.

I couldn't agree more; this is a serious security issue. Is there no setting for this?

I'm sorry as this post was from 2014, but thank you for bringing it up again. The current default location displayed on your profile is "City, Country" and it doesn't look like the team is looking to change this anytime soon. But I'll share this feedback to the team for their consideration.
