Suggestion job description process

I have a question about the process clients use to post a job description.

I'm an editor, and so many jobs are posted without a word count. Without a word count, I have no way of estimating how long the job will take me or if I'm interested in a fixed-price contract. (Many clients say, "It's 20 pages long." That gives me no information, as one page could include many words or few, depending on margins and font size.)

To find out a word count, I have to apply for the job, which can waste my time and the client's if the rate of pay turns out to be too low to interest me.

So I wonder if the automated process for posting a job in Editing & Writing could include a prompt to include a word count.
