Greetings Everyone!
I have been on Upwork for over a year now with great success so far. I have a JSS of 93% and I really did a lot to reach it and mentain it so I can get a top rated badge. Yesterday I saw a simple job that should be done In 15 minutes.
I applied with my price and the client cotacted me and we had a deal, then she told me to lowe the price to 15$. It wasn't nice but I agreed. So the contract should have been for 15$ in escrow, second thing she did she put only 5$ In escrow! I asked her about the reason, she tol me that many freelancers dissapear after creating the contract. I didn't care, its 15$. why would someone try to steal a work worth 15$?
I finished the job with all the requirements done and It was about lowering a video size, adding a timer, adding a piece of text and making a loop with the video. After I delivered, I was surprised with such a toxic behaviour and unproffessioal one like : I need it like the sample or I cancel now, don't explain similar or cancel?, let's cancel the job, She asked me to change the font to the one to her sample and she gave me a font name to use it and I did. Then Again, she said that she is not happy and she is cancelling with such rude expretions! The client couldn't understand that she needs to provide me with a font name to have 100% similarity and there is no way to convince her with this.
I didn't care about the fee at this point, I was only thinking about the JSS, Will it get below 90$ because 5$ In escrow? OMG. Most of my projects averages between 100-300 USD, This one was just as a freepie in shot minutes. She cancelled and requested a refund and I filed a dispute just to annoy her xD.
I didn't expect such behaviour as Its literally the worst client I have met on upwork with 0 proffesinalism. Finally, the question is, why should my JSS that I worked on it for months affected because of such a client who is super toxic and hard ro work with? That' totally unfair and there should be a way to exclude some projects from JSS.
Thanks In Advance!

Hi Zyad,
I`m sorry to hear about the bad experience you had. When you`re hired on an official contract you will need to submit the work on the milestone created for you. After 14 days the funds will be transferred to your account if no actions are taken on the milestone. Keep in mind that if you resubmit the work again you will reset the 14 days period. To learn more details about fixed price protection, check out this Help Article.
Please keep in mind that our protection does not cover promised funds or unfunded milestones. Thank you.

Thanks for your help Goran.
I know that already and I am not talking about the funds. I am considering the JSS not the funds and that was my main question
