Hi, I have 2 passports, Russian and Tajik. Each country has its own transliteration rules, so I live in Tajikistan, but I used my Russian surname transliteration on Upwork, and since I live in Tajikistan can I change my surname to Tajik one?

Could you please clarify if the translation on your legal name is different or you have two different names? Regarding Upwork, your profile name needs to be your full legal name. Thank you.

No, I don’t have 2 different names, but the translation of my legal name is different in Tajikistan and Russia.

That's a good question. While we do allow for certain name variations, since you might be asked to verify your identity upon updating your name I'd advise you to use the version that matches the name on the ID you'll be submitting as part of the verification process.
