oDesk informed me that my financial account was suspended due to a job ended on August 30, 2014.
The project was a web application much like YouTube.
During my communication with the client, one remaining issue was left (uploading more than 50megabytes fail), and he agreed to have it done elsewhere.
September, October and November passed without any word from the client. And then I got my financial account limited.
My questions are:
1. How long after we end a fixed rate job are we subject to disputes?
2. What if the client had our code modified by others in the meantime?
I hope you guys can help me with this problem. It's has been so frustrating.
Was it a fixed priced job or hourly job?
If you were already paid for the job then that means the job was accepted by the client as was. So there is no point filing a dispute after 2/3 monts.
If you have the conversations over emails, oDesk messages, skype etc. that will come handy. You might consider submitting the evidence to the dispute ticket.
After oDesk reviews your dispute and when it gets resolved your financial account is likely to be reinstated.
