Talent Specialist

Hello,

I had a Upwork Talent specialist send me a job invite. It was matching my skill sets but after accepting the invitation and submitting a proposal the Specialist left the chat room. Does it mean that the client has declined my proposal or the Specialist doesn't find me fit for the job ?

Hi Kishan,

If your proposal was declined you should've received a notification about ti and have the proposal moved under the archived tab.

Please keep in mind that the final decision is with the client and it is up to them on how to proceed with the shortlisted candidates. Thank you.

Ohk, the proposal has not been moved to the archives tab. That helps the fact that the proposal has not been declined.

But the specialist left the room is what I am curious and does it indicate or mean anything with regards to me getting the job or starting a conversation with the client. If you can throw come light on this act of 'Left the room'

Whether or not the specialist has left the room is irrelevant.

As I have found in the past, they will sometimes return to the interview to check up on what is happening. Which is one reason why I dismiss all invites from 'talent specialists' immediately. Not that they're ever any good anyway.

I noticed that the specialist usually leaves the room and adds the client to the room.

I'm yet to see any of these invites work for me, though. The clients never respond or even go ahead to have a conversation with me. I've had so many of these invites and... nothing.

Maybe I should start declining them...
