Tax Documents as a Freelancer? Help!

Dear Upwork Community:

My name is Christina Brown and I'm an Upwork contractor and solo owner of my LLC business, **Edited for Community Guidelines** . Last year, I only worked on one small project on this platform. I just updated my W-9 qualifications under Settings. Do I have to file a W-9 form still or do I have to file a 1040 Schedule-C form? I'm pretty confident I made over $400 in profit for this LLC last year, but on a few other plaforms other than Upwork. This is still very new to me. Thanks.

Best,

Christina

Your very best bet is to use TurboTax Self-Employed edition.  It will walk you through everything.  No one here is a tax expert (those that are will want to be hired through Upwork to help you)
