Hello, I tried looking this up but I'm not sure if I'm understanding everything correctly.

I'm new to Upwork and have only received one payment from UpWork so far - so I'm really looking at next year's taxes... But I'm wanting to make sure I'm doing everything correctly.

Does UpWork send us a W9 at the end of the year?

And, are there any forms that I should be obtaining myself - such as a 1040 form?

Any directions on setting up my taxes and what forms I need would be greatly appreciated!
