Taxes Form Inquiry

Hello Community;

Hopfeully you're all safe during this pandemic. It's my first time to work as a freelancer on (UpWork) and have a question regarding the W-8BEN form required to get paid through my Local bank.

I had entered all the required info collected from my local bank account, but the billing information was inactive due to the W-8BEN form where it needs to be firstly compelted..

I've attached a print screen of the info required, but quite frankly, i'm not sure where to get this info from and would grealty appreciate your help with figuring this out....

The W-8BEN form is used only to confirm you are not a US tax payer, just enter your name & address.

Mohammed is right. The Form W-8BEN is a form used to confirm you’re not a U.S. taxpayer and that Upwork is not required to withhold taxes from your earnings. To provide Upwork with your Form W-8BEN information, kindly follow these steps:

• Go Settings › Tax Information
• Provide us with your legal name and address
