I just took the PHP test, as apparently the skill test from Elance do not tranfer. Towards the end, I got a question that didn't make any sense (poorly written), so I selected the option to report the question, and in doing so the question time ran out.
When I hit the button to proceed, it gave me a server error and I never saw the results of the test nor was I able to continue where I left off.
So now, I must wait a month, or however long, to retake the test, unless an UpWork employee can reset the timer. I doubt it though, similar issues existed in the Elance tests, and Support wasn't interested doing anything other than saying "wait it out".
Still, the system should dump a test upon a server failure and enusre no restriction is placed on a failed test.

Elance tests can not be imported as they were run by another company (which is incidentally closing down in a few days) than the Upwork tests, which are administered by Expertrating.
Raise a ticket, explain what happened, and ask them to reset the test for you.
