The contract is ended by the another person that is not the client

Hi, 

I hired on a fixed contract by a client whose name is **Edited for Community Guidelines** on a fixed contract. But after some hour i got notification that the contract is ended by **Edited for Community Guidelines** . How this is possibel ? a person other than client calcel the contract.

Can any body is ther to explain the same.
