I received an offer from my direct client for a fixed-price project related to Google, so I need to share my email with him. However, I only share my email when accepting the offer. Yet, Upwork's system deleted my message and showed a warning that I broke their rules. I am nervous because I haven't violated any rules.
Here is the message I saw:
"The message has been removed because it contained an email address or messenger link. Sharing contact information before a contract has started is a violation of Upwork's Terms of Service and can result in account suspension. Please update your message and send it again."
I believed I could share my email since a contract had already begun. I am genuinely concerned that my account might be suspended. I have tried my best to follow Upwork's rules, and I do not understand why this happened.

Even I had the same experience yesterday. I doubt it is because of chatting from a different Upwork message chat window instead of the one on which the offer was given.
I hope Upwork notices this problem.
