Time Tracker best practices

Hello,

 

I just got my first hourly paid contract, so I downloaded and installed the UW Time Tracker, and it seems pretty straightforward.

 

However, I am curious as to best practices.

 

For example, do you start by turning on the Time Tracker, then you open the interface where you will be doing the work, signing in, setting up etc, or do you prepare everything in advance, and when you are ready to start actually working, then you turn the Time Tracker on?

 

Similarly, do you keep the Time Tracker on when you are logging details in the Time Tracker, for example the 'What are you working on?' section?
