Just curious if anyone knows why the work week ends on Sunday at 8pm (EST)? I often work past 8 on Sunday nights and it always resets my time. I still get paid, it just goes on to the upcoming week

Hi Christy,

Because Upwork is a global workplace, they end the work week at midnight GMT. Freelancers have to mentally adjust that to their own time zone.

Just make a note of the week ending time somewhere, and after a few weeks, you'll get used to it as far as keeping track of your income budget for the week, etc.

Hope that helps! Smiley Happy

It is now ending at 7pm (EST). ??

Yes I account for it when scheduling my hours and watching my earnings.

Yes, the week ends at 7 p.m. now, because daylight saving time is over. It will change back to 8 p.m. in the spring. This will happen every year.
