I have an existing contract with client how do I move them over to an agency account for project? Are they able to move open contract over to my agency account so I can add team member? They already approved me having a team member I just need to know how to transfer job from my freelancer account to agency account.
I have a few more question. If the freelancer is hired at $30/hr and I have a different agreement with them outside of Upwork what does it show the freelancer inside of Upwork for their pay? Does it show whatever we agreed to or is all that also handled outside of Upwork?

Hi Allen,
Your existing contract with the client on your freelancer account can't be transferred to your agency account. Your client will need to hire your agency so that you can start your contract with them through your agency account. Regarding fees, the agency owner pays the agency members, this is not facilitated by Upwork. You can check these help articles: manage an agency account and about agencies for more information about Upwork agency.

One other question: Let's say we reach the $500 threshold during first week under agency account will that first $500 be charged fee of 10%? instead of 20%?

Hi Allen,
It will be 20% for the first $500 you bill a client across all contracts with them, 10% once you reached $500.01 and $10,000, then it will only be 5% for total billings with a client that exceed $10,000. Please check out this help article for more information.

Hi Joanne,
If I have a contract with a client as a freelancer and my fee right now is 5%, If I "transfer" or "start new contract" with my agency account, the fee still be 5%?
Best regards

Hi Abraham,
Unfortunately no, the fee will start from 20% because independent freelancer and an agency profile are two different profiles. Thank you.

Hi,
The client sent an offer to me as a freelancer however I never knew that I set an agency as a default team. Now I cannot accept the offer because only the manager can accept. Is there a way to transfer the offer from the agency to me as a freelancer?
Thank you

Hi Ma Rose,
Your client should be able to withdraw their offer and send you a new one by going to your freelancer profile and clicking the Hire button.
Thanks!

If the agency member was hired through the agency, yes.

Client sent offer to the agency member directly. If member accepts and

Will client pay to agency or member?
If the agency member accepts it through their own account, it will show on their profile (not the agency's) and payment goes straight to them.
If the agency member accepts it through the agency account, it will show on their profile (and the agency's) and payment goes to the agency.
The agency should be able to see if there is an offer on the agency side.
