True that we can't add or delete Porfolio items anymore?

Read in Designers and Creatives that we can't add or delete portfolio items anymore \unless we add a specialized portfolio. Seems odd...true?

Thought I asked this yesterday in more complex form but can't find it. Trying the simple approach now.
