I have the username of a client, but I'm not sure how to find them on upwork. Is there a search function?

Unless the client has contacted you via the Upwork system, you will not be able to locate them.

Thank you for replying. The client actually has contacted me, but they want to start a contract through a different account of theirs. They gave me the username, but I'm not sure where to go from there.

Hi Timothy,
The client may start a new contract and has the option to hire you directly. If the client clicks the "Hire" button then you should receive a message that lets you accept the offer. Thanks.

Suspicious.
Like freelancers, clients are only allowed one account. Tread carefully...

On top of that, the ball is in their court. You can only be hired by the client, he has to send you an offer for you to accept. Their username is of not use to you at all in that regard.
