1) I have lot of friends who works on upwork & others freelancer sites but I noticed almost everyone finds jobs on upwork then after few payment they use paypal or others direct payment method to cheat with upwork. So I think upwork loosing profit so my advice is upwork should give priority to find new clients based on transaction amount via upwork only not only "Top Rated" status or Client Feecback ETC.

2) Upwork should add two step verification for login signup process. Then users can signup login more safely

These two most impotent advice for now from me for upwork. I think finding clients need so much afford by marketing but few peoples just eat up these profit by passing upwork. they dont have minimum sympathy for upwork. so please find some way on that. like me who use only upwork for living we also loosing clients for these cheat minded peoples. For today I have these suggestions please forward these to upwork team. Best wishes for upwork

That's why they introduced this: Showing Active Earners in Search Results

Complicated to use for many, especially those with poor English, I was told.

You're underestimating yourself.

Sounds like you should report those friends of yours.

Md Liakat:

Your first suggestion is so good that Upwork is pretty much doing it already.

(As Rene pointed out.)

The new system definitely gives preference to active earners. By default, those freelancers who are not actively earning on Upwork are not even shown to clients in searches or as suggested candidates for jobs.

Is there something inherently unsafe to the current sign-up process?

I see the interest in security, especially in today's world, but is there a large problem that would necessitate this? I also think it would just create a larger barrier to entry for newcomers.

re: "Is there something inherently unsafe to the current sign-up process?"

I don't think so.

I don't want two-factor authorization for logging into Upwork. I think it is safe enough already, and I find the current process quite convenient.

Two step verification means temporary token via email/sms/app which makes login process safer. Now if your password gets hack your account will be hacked then but if two step verification added then it will not happen. hope you understand
