I can't see any context where it would be necessary to send invoices to upwork. Can you elaborate?

It's Very simple.... I have a VAT number And of course I have a regular Company in Italy.

Now.... The italian Law in The fiscal Matters provides for billing to who actually makes the payment of the services, in The specific case..... Upwork.

But Now I Think The main question was .... is there someone  who knows The correct adress of Upwork  Company?

As Petra wrote, you are under the obligation to issue an invoice and to keep a copy of it. You don't need to actually post it in the mail.

Hi Silvia,

I'm not sure what invoices you are sending to Upwork for payment. Upwork is just the middleman (middle-person?) that offers a platform where you can find clients and they can find you. You should be billing your actual clients USING the Upwork platform--and how you do that is to enter your hours worked for that client into your Work Diary. After the work week has ended, your payment enters a process where your client looks at how many hours you have logged and approves payment. And then, usually the following week, you get your payment. (Usually you set up a direct deposit system to have your payment deposited into your bank account.) Does this help?

But no freelancers bill Upwork directly, unless there's a secret group of freelancers that do this.

Best of luck.

For bookkeeping and tax-purposes invoices have to be "issued" but they don't really have to be physically sent.

As payments appear on bank statements as coming from Upwork it can make for easier bookkeeping and less awkward questions if the invoices are made out to Upwork.
