US Citizen Living in Canada - How to handle taxes

Hello All,

I have an odd dilemma, I'm a US citizen that emigrated to Canada about 8 years ago and I am currently a permanent resident. This means I am a "US person" with an SSN.

How do I figure out my tax situation? I still have a US bank account and I was planning on depositing any upwork payments in there to pay off the rest of my US student loans.

Where would be my tax home? US or Canada? Should I report the income to both?
