Unable to install desktop app on MacBook

I am trying to the install the Upwork desktop app on my MacBook. It keeps giving the error message that it can't install as Apple can't check if this is a malicious software or not. I am using Mac Catalina Beta 10.15

Hi Surabhi,

I apologise for the delay as we had to check this with the team. The team has confirmed that you are seeing this message because Apple introduced a new notarization process, and we are currently adjusting the Desktop App to this new process.

You should still be able to run and install the app by clicking on the Option Key + Right Click > Open.

Notarization has been available for a year, and it only takes 5 minutes to notarize an app when you export it in Xcode.

Is there an ETA for when Upwork plans to provide a notarized distribution or some reason Apple wil not notarize this app for Upwork?

HI David,

The team has confirmed that this will be available on our upcoming release.
