Unable to remove Github Account Integration

Hi.

I am facing an issue where I am unable to remove my Github account integration from my Upwork profile. The Github account that was originally a part of my Upwork profile did not accurately represent my professional work projects so I deleted that account and created a new one. I now want to disconnect the old account from Upwork and connect the new one. Unfortunately, when i click the small 'x' icon in the Github button, it takes me to my old profile which does not exist aymore; therefore showing me a 404 Not Found error page. It seems that the link to this old account needs to be manually removed in some way which I am unable to perform. Any sort of help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

UPDATE:

I managed to fix the issue on my own. Here's what I did:

1. First I created a new Github Account with a separate email address using the old username that was linked to Upwork.
2. I then clicked on the Github button on my profile which took me to the new account. This means that the link was now atleast functional.

3. I then removed all other social integraions on my Upwork profile (for me the only other one was Stack Overflow). The order of removing these integrations for me was Stack Overflow then Github.
4. This removed all my integrations and now I am able to add any new accounts that I have.

Posting this here for anyone that might face this issue in the future. It should however, be noted that the process of removing these account integrations can be improved; especially in-case someone deletes an account linked to Upwork in which case they could potentially be locked out of removing such accounts.
