Hi there!

I managed to install the new version by following these instructions: http://askubuntu.com/questions/641255/cant-install-upwork-team-app-on-ubuntu-15-04

Hi Sara,

I tried the instructions on that post , but no luck.

Could you share me the terminal commands you tried.

Thanks,

Rajith.

Hi Rajith,

unfortunately, those instructions worked for me, I don't know how I can help. What error message do you see?

Try to contact the IT support, check this: https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/categories/201349197-Team-App

By the way, the previous version of the time tracker is still working, so you could also try to install that instead of this new "Team App".

Finally managed to install it successfully.

I installed the following packages before installing upwork.

libgtop2-7.deb

libgksu2-0_2.0.13-pre1-6ubuntu4_amd64.deb

gksu_2.0.2-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb

upwork_amd64.deb

Thank for the help.

Rajith.

Write following commands exactly.

wget http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/libg/libgtop2/libgtop2-7_2.28.5-2+b1_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i libgtop2-7_2.28.5-2+b1_amd64.deb

wget http://cz.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/libg/libgksu/libgksu2-0_2.0.13~pre1-6ubuntu4_amd64...

sudo dpkg -i libgksu2-0_2.0.13~pre1-6ubuntu4_amd64.deb

wget http://ftp.iitm.ac.in/ubuntu/pool/universe/g/gksu/gksu_2.0.2-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i gksu_2.0.2-9ubuntu1_amd64.deb

wget http://launchpadlibrarian.net/182024883/libgcrypt11_1.5.4-2ubuntu1_i386.deb

sudo dpkg -i libgcrypt11_1.5.4-2ubuntu1_i386.deb

sudo apt-get install libgtkglext1

Then  download Debian based upwork software and place in the folder, Here I am placing this at my home folder and then run this command.

user@username:~$ sudo dpkg -i upwork_amd64.deb

I downloaded the file and wrote the exact command, didn't work. Any ideas why?

dpkg: error processing archive libgtop2-7_2.28.5-2+b1_amd64.deb (--install):
cannot access archive: No such file or directory
