Hello,
Need your opinion in New Video that I created for my profile
I used the same font family and color style for upwork and wondering is this will give me more possibilities for more sales, Plus I created Advert in facebook for that video, is this a good idea?
could you also tell me about more premium paid ideas to market My Upwork Profile?
Thank you
Regards
Ahmed Ali

It is ok and slick and technically well executed, but you must not use the Upwork logo. Take this video down immediately and edit it.
To be honest some of the samples shown in the video and your portfolio look remarkably like the ones I make in my $ 5.00 iPad app. I don't see that spark of creativity that makes me want to keep looking at someone's portfolio... I don't look at those portfolio items and think "Wow, I want to cook in a kitchen like that / work in an office that looks like that / curl up on that sofa with a good book..."
For my personal taste the green tie is one gimmick too far and would put me off.
When I am hiring a creative person I look for style, taste, and creativity in the overall first impression. I am fairly certain that I would consider someone who voluntarily wears a toxic green tie with great suspicion.
All in all: Too much gimmickry, too little taste, too much green tie...

1. "your portfolio look remarkably like the ones I make in my $ 5.00 iPad app"
Can you explain more about that is this mean that samples in my vedio are easy to do by anyone? or what you mean about remarkably?
2. green tie, I made the photo black& withe. i think it's better now
3. Deleted the logo and could you give me the reuls that prevent that?
4. what you mean about "too much gimmickry" are you mean about tie only or something else?

PS - you need to remove EVERYTHNG you lifted off the Upwork site, not just the logo, but any images as well. You don't own them. You can't use things someone else owns the rights to!!

Hi Ahmed,
It looks like you already removed the video you uploaded earlier. I don't have an insight into its content but will reiterate Petra's advice to remove all the copyrighted content before reposting the video, in order to abide by Upwork ToS.

1) Do you have permission from your client to use their full name in your video?
2) It's *possible* (but I don't know for sure) that the "Upwork green" and "Upwork font" are trademarked. Using those two things together specifically may make them unhappy. They may not care, but then again...I see what you're trying to do, but at the same time it could also be considered misleading, because you're clearly trying to give the impression in your video that you're somehow affiliated with Upwork.
3) Like Petra said, while your portfolio is generally okay, it doesn't jump out at me, either. It's not showing a high degree of creativity. It's quite bland.
4) On the key specializations slide you say as a subtitle "That's I do the best", which is not grammatically correct. It should be "That's what I do best".
5) The video is kind of long. I probably wouldn't be interested in watching a 2 minute video for an applicant. (I'm not generally interested in watching videos at all, but I might stretch 30 seconds if the freelancer seems really good). You should put all the most critical stuff as early as possible in the video, and expect that clients will not watch the whole thing.
6) Overall the video concept is pretty good. I think you're probably better off working on some more creative portfolio pieces than tweaking your video, though.

You did a great job!
The video I see now in 2021.
Just writing in to demonstrate that still people exist who learned to give more compliments than insults.
At the very minimum, sandwiching pointed criticism costs no ego at all, so I don't know why some people can't, or don't want, to do that.
You did well, Ahmed.
