Hi All,
I am trying to apply for an Upwork API key. I've submitted the request two times and each API key was instantly disabled. I reached out to support who said to provide information on the api usage. I just wrote a long explanation in the new application that followed the same route - instantly disabled key when issued. Obviously no one read anything, and there is no information on Upwork on how to enable the API key. My question is how to get an API key that works and that I can use? I already have a support ticket #50143942, but all they keep saying is resubmit the formm which I did 3 times with the same result - instant Disabled API key status. Any help?

Fresh keys always issued as disabled. Speak with support via ticket you have. I activated my key after year of conversation. 😺

Once you apply they review your request. If you are lucky, they approve it and activate it. Here are details of what I went through using it with Power Automate:
