Upwork Disputes & Payment Protection

There is no payment protection for freelancers on Upwork so be aware. 4 of our freelancers logged 40 hours each using the Upwork time tracking app last week for and Australian client (**Edited for Community Guidelines** from **Edited for Community Guidelines**) and he ended the contracts abruptly and filed for a refund. Upwork refunded him the money without taking feedback from the agency so I've learnt that the Upwork team bends over for clients and doesn't bother about freelancers.

Did they fulfill ALL the requirements for payment protection? Decent activity levels AND work related screenshots AND meaningful work memos and no sign of any fraudulent behaviour?

Did you and client agree on 160 hours for just one week?

Did you send daily updates?

What about the hours logged this week? Zero hours?

What's the motive of your post? If it is to alert other freelancers of Upwork policies, there is no need to bring any info about the client here.
