Upwork Fee after first 500 $

Hello.

I have a question about upwork fees. Do the Upwork charge 10 or 20 % after first 500 $? I have earned my first 500 $ with the client, but the Upwork charged 20 % from the next payment. Is it a mistake or I understood smth wrong?

Hi Pavel,

As a freelancer, you’re charged a sliding fee based on your lifetime billings with each non-Enterprise client. This includes all contracts you’ve ever had with that client. Once you earn more than $500.01 with one client, your fee will be reduced to 10%. To learn more about this, check out this Help Article. Thank you.
