Upwork was correct to flag your account.
For other people reading this thread:
It is NOT Upwork's intention that you hire friends and family through the Upwork platform.
Doing something like that can lead to serious sanctions, such as suspension, confiscation of funds, and account termination.

Probably. This is the kind of cheating that is not allowed and makes the platform worse for everybody. Feedback should be real, not fake.

I don't intend to give him a fake feedback. The contract I sent him is for a long term so he could earn money while working for me as my assistant.

Oh, come on. There is no legitimate reason in any way to use Upwork to "hire" your friend. If you really wanted to hire your buddy you'd just pay them directly, not through Upwork.

If he's your friend, wouldn't he trust you to pay him directly, without having to give Upwork a 20 percent commission?
