Hello Upwork Team and Freelancers.
I Upgraded to Upwork membership plan and I want to know that do I need to Turn On the Availability Badge now or Not. And, what is meant by "Your profile will never be set to hidden due to inactivity." Is this mean that your activity status is On and we don't need to spend connects on the Availability Badge?
Kindly Guide.

Hi Muhammad,
Thank you for reaching out to us. To turn on your Availability Badge, kindly go to Find Work and look at your profile banner on the right side of the screen, select the pencil icon ✎ next to Availability Badge, set your maximum amount of Connects you want to spend in one week to keep the badge on and then select 'Turn On'.
You can also access the badge on your profile, under your name at the top of the page.
If you are a new freelancer and don't earn money on Upwork within 90 days of your first proposal, or you choose not to submit a proposal within your first 90 days, your profile will change to private. But when you are subscribed to Freelancer Plus, this will not happen.
**Edited to add: There's no need to turn the Availability Badge on unless you're interested in doing so. If you saw that message about your profile being private, it could have been because your profile needs to be public in order to turn the badge on. Your profile should no longer be locked private since you have upgraded your membership to Freelancer Plus.

Hi Muhammad,
Arjay here stepping in for Annie Jane. That message is a notification that your profile is about to be set to Private due to inactivity which means that we won’t show your profile in search results when clients search for talents. They will only see your profile if you submit a proposal for their job.
This is also related to what Annie Jane shared above, that If you can’t activate the availability badge it is typically because your profile has been set to private or you do not have enough Connects. You may review both help articles here and this one to learn more about how these features work.
