Upwork Plus

So since we have to bid more as the maximum per job has increased to 8 connects, will Upwork review the Upwork plus to have more than 80 connects?

Actually I have started seeing jobs go for 16 connects. I hope this is a temporary glitch, but many other freelancers have seen and mentioned the increase as well. I think it would only be fair that the connects you get monthly get doubled up as well, but again this just my take on things, no official memo from upwork on any of this.

I haven't seen 16 connects jobs yet. The highest I see is 8 connects. But yes I agree.

Thank you for your message. Currently, we do not have any updates on changes to the Connects offered with the Freelancer Plus plan. We will announce in the Community in case of any changes to the Freelancer Plus plan.

Ah that is a shame. Hopefully Upwork can review it and have a better plan for us so it would be worthwhile to get Freelancer Plus

I am feeling the inflation of connects in recent months. So many jobs require 6,8,even 12 connects. It will reduce the chances to gain a job for most freelancers here. Extreme inflation in the real wworld is a disaster. It is also true here.

Sometimes I even have the idea to publish fake projects to collect connects for use. It is imoral but the reality is tough.

Today I see my account with 1 connect and have nothing to do with these projects. Maybe it's time to upgrade my account to PLUS. Even with 80 connects from PLUS plan, it is not enough to bid projects in a month.  It's really a serious problem.

80 connects cost you $12 and freelancer plus costs you $15 and they give you 70 connects + the 10 free (these are the ones they give to everyone).
For $15, you buy 100 connects and you also have the 10 free per month. 110 connections.
Have you done the math? It is not so difficult to know what is more profitable.

By the way, I hope your idea of posting fake projects remains just a stupid idea.
Also, if you say it for winning interviews, you should know that they no longer grant connects for all the interviews won, only for some. So besides being a stupid idea, it's a bad idea.

Oh I didn't know about the winning interview getting cut. I still get free connects when I win interview so I thought it is ongoing. 

One of the biggest selling point for Freelancer Plus is the whole customised domain thing. It looks a lot more professional when I drop the link. Also the rollover is good. But as you have done the maths, Freelancer Plus should be giving 100 or 120 connects to make it worthwhile to get.
