Upwork Refunded to the client without any dispute or reason

Hi,

upwork refunded my payment to the client i don't know why.

I just received this email from upwork

And after getting this email i checked my upwork and shocked to see that upwork refunded 82.58 USD from me to the client without any reason as the work was done perfectly then why you do so pls i need my money back thats it.

Hi Imran,

 

I recommend you open up a ticket with support and they should be able to tell you whats going on.

Thanks but everything is messedup now here on upwork.
I am trying to get online help from upwork representative not failed to get and where to open the ticked pls guide as i can't find it searching from lash 30 minutes.

Imran, was it an hourly contract? If so, then most likely your client failed to pay for your hours and your work diary did not qualify for hourly protection.

 

to qualify for the protection all time logged needs to be:

 

  • tracked with the upwork tracker AND
  • have adequate activity AND
  • have meaningful work memos clearly describing the work done AND
  • all screenshots have to be related to the work done

Hi Imran,

Petra is correct in that this usually happens when a client's payment method becomes unverified and your work did not qualify for Upwork's Payment Protection. You will be receiving a notification with more detailed information about this today.

Regarding your support options, I've checked and wasn't able to replicate any issue accessing support or opening a ticket. Please try to clear your cache and cookies as that may resolve the problem.  Please let us know if you need any more assistance and we'll assist further.

Hi Imran,

You should be able to click the question mark next to the "Find Jobs" search window, and then click on "Help and Support" which will bring you to a page at the bottom of which is a green "Get help" button. Here is also a direct link to subtmit a ticket.

 No point opening a ticket. It is a "Yes" or "No" situation.

 

Check whether your work diary satisfied ALL the conditions below to qualify for the protection:

All time logged needs to be:
