Upwork Top Rated - Suggestion

Hi,

I think there should a standard scale of payment for Top Rated Freelancer.

As a top rated freelancer we should get good payment for our best services.

Some clients look for hiring top rated freelance but the budget is too low, so as a top rated freelancer its frustrating for us that we don't get a standard wages.

Upwork allows the marketplace to dictate contract terms, including rates. However, we have found that clients appreciate quality work, so we encourage you to negotiate rates that reflect your skill leven and experience. You can check out this article for some great advice on pricing your skills.

In my opinion, best solution can be, if Upwork reduces its project fee for top rated guys..May be 10% right from the start for a new client 🙂

 Nope. The above link goes to the "reduced fee for working with new clients" initiative which is not active at this time as far as I know. It was tried a couple of times, then sunk without a trace.

What you may mean is the "bring your own client" initiative where the fee is not "reduced" but free.

There are also 10% fee jobs from clients who "feature" their jobs, which are available to top rated freelancers.

Thanks for flagging, Petra. You are correct. I have checked this with the team and looks like the program I noted has ended already and I've requested the team to remove this from the Support pages.
