Upwork connects

Hi, a client responded to my proposal, but I never got a bonus connect like before. What’s going on?

Upwork has changed the free connects policy because too many people were gaming the system.

Think then they should be giving more that 10 free connects per month on a basic plan. This way freelancers can have enough connect to apply for jobs.

Why? There was never a guarantee that the client will respond to your proposals. There are still free connects if a legit client responds.

More free connects means less earnings for Upwork. That's intentional.
