I had an old contract with more than 10000$ earned. So I had 5% Upwork fee there.
Now my client increased my hourly rate and that technically ends the old contract and starts the new one with a new ID and 0$ earned. I mean the client did not end the contract - it just happens automatically when you change the rate. So I'm concerned now whether the fee changes back to 20-10% or it's gonna be the old 5%?

Just to add that as soon as you are paid at your new rate, the "old" contract is merged with the new contract and then the "old" one at the "old rate" no lomger shows, just the merged one at the new rate
