Upwork must Stop $5 Jobs

I like to advise to Upwork that it should stop $5 Jobs.
All Jobs must bt start from $10.
The client sometimes ask for too many revisions and versions in a mere $5.
Upwork please look into this matter. This is the hard work of all designers.
Thanks

I will do $5 jobs. As a freelancer, I have done $5 jobs in the past. There is nothing wrong with $5 jobs.

But if you think $5 is too low for a job, then when you post jobs, offer more than that.

You don't need to have anything to do with Upwork's minimums.

I agree that $5 is too low - I also think that $10 is too low, and $50 is too low - but I realise that I'm not the only freelancer on Upwork and they don't have to change their system to suit my needs. Therefore, when I'm doing a search, I filter out anything below $100 and then I never even see those projects. (And before anyone jumps in and says, "But then you don't see all of the projects where $5 is just a placeholder!" - you're right, and I'm completely fine with that.)

If people want to work for $5, they can do so. If they don't want to, then they don't have to. It's also possible to quote the client a price that's higher (sometimes much higher) than their stated budget, and still get hired. And if you don't want to make endless revisions, you say - right in your proposal - "My bid includes up to X rounds of revisions." The system isn't perfect, but it IS manageable. You need to run your own business and not expect Upwork to do it for you.

Thanks, Christine for your valuable feedback.

Stop applying to those jobs.  For some, $5 is a lot of money.
