Hi,

This is gonna be tough!!

Upwork has rolled out new pricing from June. Welcome!!

You’ll pay:

  • 20% for the first $500 you bill your client across all contracts
  • 10% for total billings with your client between $500.01 and $10,000
  • 5% for total billings with your client that exceed $10,000

https://www.upwork.com/blog/2016/05/upwork-pricing/

We have to start charging higher that is the only solution.

Do you agree?

10% was already ridicuusly high considering upwork has almost no effort since all acquisition is through their platform and nothing is done manually. But 20% on the initial $500,00 is the same as stealing.

Stealing is a mild word to describe what they are up to with their new pricing, fast dethroning web interface and scant regard to what their users really want.

Upwork business ethics are INSANELY mangled big time.

I´d like to know when did they becamed SO GREEDY, and... I hope clients already know that freelancers will charge those 20% to their work, so THIS it´s gonna be the more expensive plataform of the market

maybe that is what they are trying to do.  And if so we have to think of it like that too in determining how to react.  and we as freelancers, users of upwork should TRY and come together on a common course of action as to have a definite effect.

The more the freelancers charge, the more Upwork makes. **Edited for Community Guidelines**.
