Upwork support needs your personal address or bank account while providing help?

Hi,
Just contacted Upwork support to ask some information about a contract. But they asked me for verification purpose about my bank account number or personal address associated with the upwork account.

I want to confirm here if it's safe to provide this information to the Upwork CSRs since they are also most of the time freelancers like us? And will the information be kept in secrecy?

Occasionally, agents may ask you for additional information in order to verify your identity. It's done in order to protect your information and make sure that any sensitive details about your Upwork are shared only with you.
