Hello community, I have problems in approving my account. Could any agent help me out please.
You could help yourself out by editing your profile so it contains correct and true information about yourself. Fixing location and history would be a good start.
You're in Kenya, not in California.

Hi Nancy,
I checked and can confirm that your profile is now active. You can check this by logging in to your Upwork account. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi Nancy,
Please know that you should have correct information on your profile. The team will follow up with you regarding this with more information.

I do not understand very well how the issue of approving accounts works.
- A moderator appears and tells her that the profile that, as Petra has said has incorrect data, is approved.
- Next, another moderator tells her that they are going to follow up, I guess from what Petra said.
- And at the end, the profile is closed.
Everything has happened in a few hours.
If she had not written in the forum (there are very daring people), and someone had taken a look at her profile noticing the deceptions, her profile would be active

Seriously, it seems all too often nobody looks at anything properly unless community members (who have access to a mere fraction of the info staff do) point out the beeping obvious and flag such dishonest profiles.
Edited to add:
Positive aspect: Reactions to flagging stuff are now usually VERY fast!! Sometimes within minutes!

Hi Maria,
While her profile was approved, we`ve noticed some inconsistencies and our team is investigating them further. Detailed explanation was already sent to Nancy via ticket.
I would like to confirm that our team is always reviewing old and new profiles for any violations on our TOS, and if we find any, proper actions are taken.

This is what I do not understand in the process.
If you already noticed some inconsistencies, why is it approved, then investigate it and end up deleting it?
It would not be more normal and effective to investigate the inconsistencies "before" not "after"?

No. Community members "noticed some inconsistencies"
Whoever approved the profile must have been fast asleep as they have access to all the details and missed the blatant clues that are obvious even to those of us who DON'T see all the details.
