Urgent: Confirm your services are performed outside the U.S.

Hi I recieved an email from upwork to " Confirm your services are performed outside the U.S" . Here is requirment!

 

1. Go to tax identification number within tax information on Upwork
2. Provide your electronic signature for the following sections: tax certification, statement of source, and affidavit of unchanged status
3. Select “Save”

 

Problem is I cant see these sections. While opening Tax Information Tab there are three forms including Tax residence, Taxpayer identification, and Tax identification number and all three are leveled as completed. So please guide where I can find tax certification, statement of source, and affidavit of unchanged status and upload electronic signature?

I also have the same issue. I received the notification but cannot locate "Statement of Source" under Tax Information tab.

I would like to confirm that all services offered through my Agency are indeed performed outside the United States. Additionally, I have completed all required tax information on my profile, and there are no pending tasks or incomplete sections in my account settings.

Could you please assist me in resolving this alert? I am committed to complying with all of Upwork's policies and appreciate your guidance in ensuring my account reflects this accurately.

I am getting the same message. It seems to be a generic message irrespecective if your tax details are completed. Which is really stupid as it creates stress. The message should just be there if your tax details are not complete.

If you previously completed a version of the W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E that did not include a statement of source, you’ll see a separate Statement of source section. You may complete this separately without redoing the entire form. To do so:

  1. Go to Settings > Tax Information > Statement of source
  2. Review the information and select the box to certify

You’ll see a “Completed” label beside the section after you complete it.

If you completed the Statement of source as part of your W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E certification already, you will not see a separate Statement of source section.

 

If you redo your W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E, you will no longer see a Statement of source section, since a statement of source is now included within the Tax identification number section.

The same issue for me. I have tried to open a ticket and cant find where anywhere. The chatbot does not help at all. Please help!

My information has been correct since I started my agency. Is the same information as my personal profile page.

Hey there, for weeks, I've been receiving emails about completing/updating my tax information. When I go to Upwork, though, it says everything is completed.

How can I solve/resolve this?

I have been receiving emails from UpWprk stating that I need to complete the tax information section and that my statement of source section is incomplete. But all my information is marked as complete. I would really appreciate it if someone from UpWprk support could help me out.

I also had this same issue then i found out i had to do it on both client and freelancer account (if they exist)

Btw, all of the tax sections in my profile already have a "completed" label.
I already re-edit the "Taxpayer identification" and "Tax identification number". It still has a "completed" label. Is there anything that I can do?

Hello Sir, I am also having the same problem as Sana. I need your help. I have attached a screenshot of my tax information for evidence.

I received an email regarding update the Tax information twice, knowing that I have already upated it when I created my account. I followed the steps in the email and updated the information, however, I received it again today minutes ago. I have updated it again for the third time, but I am not sure if I will receive the email again. The email subject is: "Urgent: Confirm your services are performed outside the U.S.". Kindly check whats the problem or advise if there is anything else I need to do.

Hi all, please advise me, earlier I received a letter on my e-mail (Urgent: Confirm your services are performed outside the U.S.),
I did everything that was mentioned in the letter and everything seemed to be fine, but today I got the same letter again (Urgent: Confirm your services are performed outside the U.S.).
how should I respond to this?

I have the same problem..

I did all the procedures (everything is fine) and in a week they sent me the same letter again.
