VAT Validation

Hello,
I have just started with Upwork and I have a problem verifying my VAT. I have a valid EU VAT ID that is verified on VIES But Upwork will not validate it. I checked several times and it is the right format and my details are correct.
Is there a way to contact a real support person and not a bot?
