VAT registered UK freelance working for Australian company. How does the VAT work?

I'm a VAT registered UK freelance working for Australian company.

I presume I don't add VAT to the invoice because they and UpWork are both outside the UK?

Countries and jurisdictions where you live or do business may charge taxes that apply to your income or purchases on Upwork. This may be either the following:

• Income you make as a freelancer (income tax)
• Services you purchase from Upwork, such as Connects, for example
