I've tried about 10 times and no verification email received to update my email address.
1. The email address is correct
2. I checked my spam and all other folders
3. Checked Google admin server and found no message was ever received from upwork
4. I tried changing to a 3rd email address and I received verification immediately. I just don't receive the email in my professional email inbox, the one I need to start using.
To make things more confusing, I can not access help until I verify the email, so I made this account just to ask the question. If a moderator or staff member can ask for my real account info that would be super helpful.
