Video in portfolio

Is it necessary to set a video public/listed on youtube? is not enough to be viewable just with the ones that have the link?

Having a profile video is not required.

If you DO have a video linked to your profile, posted on YouTube or Vimeo, then I don’t think Upwork cares about all the precise settings. They just want to make sure it is viewable and demonetized.
