WHY SO MANY SCAMMERS ON UPWORK

I've noticed a lot of scammers on this platform since I joined. Most of the people who approach me turn out to be scammers, and they often disappear after receiving the work. I've read many articles about scams, so I'm more cautious now. But why doesn't Upwork take action against these suspicious accounts?

Scammers congregate where there are easy marks. Since there are huge numbers of freelancers who don't read the rules and are eager to make money and easily tricked, this is a great feeding ground for them. I agree Upwork could do a lot more to remove them, but when they do remove a job or account, a dozen more just like it spring up from other accounts.

I've been finding it hard lately to report accounts, i think upwork should also make it easier for people to report these bogus accounts.

What kind of trouble are you having? Reporting a job posting is typically a three-click process that takes a couple of seconds.

I was trying to report the account of the guy who offered the job and never paid. I'm guessing we can only report the job and not the account?
