What do do with old, inactive contracts?

Hi everyone,

At this moment, I have over 100 inactive contracts/open jobs on Upwork. What is the best way to close them without it having a negative effect on my JSS? Some of them have been inactive for years, so I think it would be odd to contact the clients at this point.

What do you guys think I should do?

It's fine to contact them. It is best to do so and ask them if they will close the contract for you - if they no longer have any work for you. If they close the contract themselves then it means you will get feedback.

If they are unresponsive then close them yourself. Don't close them all at once, though. I'd try and stagger it so you close a few unresponsive ones and then wait for one or two feedbacks before closing more unresponsive accounts, and so on.

It's going to take you some time to catch up with 100 inactive accounts, though 🙂

Thank you, Jamie. I was looking for a quick fix, but it seems I should be patient 😉
