What do you mean "unlock my account"? [SOLVED]

I logged in on Upwork to download some files from my client and then when I went on to log in on team app, I get this message:

Unlock my account? What do you mean "unlock"? And from where? Is this a new bug or a new feature where we need to search the entire website and waste an hour to figure out how to log in to get to work?

If anyone gets this message when logging in, close the team app, open it again, and then log in. There is nothing to "unlock" anywhere so don't waste your time. 

 

@Upowork - Can you please change the text? There is no such thing as "unlock an account" for this error... or bug.

exactly restart the app or re-install and login . problem solved . ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi how are you? I was trying to enter to my upwork account in a different computer that the one I always use. This message appeared, I had my account open in the other computer so I close it, I entered again in this second computer and the message appeared in this one too. I don't know what to do, I restarted both computers, close my account even in my phone, trying to enter in one of them instead of both...

Can you please make sure you log out and then exit the App by right-clicking the smaller icon in the task bar if you are using Windows?

Hi ,

 

When i try login to upwork and it said : Please use main site to login and unlock your account, but working well on upwork page, How i can resolve it ?. I just download dmg file from site and install.

I ran into this issue as well, but it took me a decent amount of time searching within the upwork support section before finally trying a google search and finding this.   That message definitely needs to be fixed.

This was something I was facing today. I thought it was my password, changed it but app was giving same error. Then read this post, restarted it and it works.

Thank you! Glad to see a company making so much money off of other peoples work still hasn't fixed this after almost 7 months...

 

It is also shows the same message if you'll enter incrorrect username. 

 

Seems thats the only error message this thing has in it's dictionary ๐Ÿ™‚

I noticed that too Andrey. Username, password, all the same.

With latest update of the Team App, our engineers fixed the issues so you shouldn't see this error message anymore.

Need help..

It doesn't work on me since I have already uninstalled and installed upwork apps. The problem still exist.

Have you tried logging in to your Upwork account via a browser, and then logging back in on the Upwork Desktop App?

I have the same issue with the error. I have closed and opened the app, also i logged in on the browser that tried again, i even uninstalled and reinstalled the desctop app, but i still cannot log in to my account on the app.
